Research disclaimer

Every product sold by Ascendtials LLC is a chemical reference material intended solely for in-vitro research in a laboratory setting by qualified persons. “In vitro” means work carried out outside a living organism: in test tubes, cell cultures, analytical instruments and similar systems.

Our products are not for human or veterinary use. They must not be injected, ingested, inhaled, applied to skin or mucous membranes, or otherwise introduced into any human or animal, and they are not for use in food, drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics or medical devices.

Our products have not been evaluated, approved or cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory authority for any use. Statements on this site have not been evaluated by the FDA. No product is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or condition.

Some compounds in our catalogue share a chemical identity with, or are related to, substances studied or approved as medicines elsewhere. That relationship does not make our research materials suitable for any medical use: they are not manufactured, tested, labelled or supplied as drugs.

Nothing on this site, in our emails, or from our team is medical advice, and none of it describes how to prepare, dose or administer any product for use in a human or animal. We do not provide that information and will not answer questions that request it. If you have a health question, speak to a licensed healthcare professional.

Product descriptions summarise published research at the molecular and cellular level for scientific reference. Citations to studies are provided so researchers can read the original work; they are not claims, endorsements or guarantees that a product has any particular effect. Results reported in the literature, including any animal or human studies, may not apply to our materials or to your experimental system.

We check chemical identity data against public reference databases and the published record, but research evolves and errors are possible. Verify any information that matters to your work against primary sources.

Purchases are limited to adults aged 21 or over who are buying for legitimate laboratory research and who have the training and facilities to handle research chemicals. Every order requires an attestation to this effect, and we cancel orders where the intended use appears to be personal consumption or anything else inconsistent with research use.

The toxicological properties of many research compounds have not been fully established. Treat every product as potentially hazardous and handle it only in an appropriate laboratory, using suitable personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection and a lab coat as a minimum) and good laboratory practice. Store products as labelled, keep them out of reach of unauthorised persons, and dispose of them in line with applicable regulations and your institution's procedures.

Laws on the purchase, possession and use of research chemicals differ between states and institutions and can change. We block shipments to restricted states, but you are solely responsible for confirming that you may lawfully buy, possess and use a product where you are before ordering. Some compounds are also prohibited in competitive sport; that prohibition applies regardless of how a product is labelled.

Content on this site is provided for general scientific and informational purposes. We work to keep it accurate and current, but make no warranty that it is complete, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose, and it may change without notice.

How a material behaves in your work depends on factors outside our control, including how it is stored after delivery, how it is handled and prepared, the methods and equipment used, and the design of your experiment. We cannot guarantee any experimental outcome, and researchers are responsible for validating materials within their own systems.

Product photographs are illustrative renderings of our packaging and may differ from the item you receive in details such as cap colour, fill appearance or label layout. The information printed on the vial label and in your order record governs.

By purchasing, you accept all risk associated with the handling, use and disposal of our products and agree that Ascendtials is not responsible for any harm, loss or legal consequence resulting from misuse, including any use contrary to this disclaimer. Our warranties and the limits of our liability are set out in our terms of service.

You agree to hold Ascendtials harmless from any claim, loss or regulatory consequence arising from your misuse of a product, from any health or human-use claim you make about our products, or from your breach of this disclaimer, as set out in full in our terms of service.

We link to external resources such as PubMed, PubChem and other reference databases so you can read primary sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices; a link is not an endorsement.

If you become aware of our products being promoted, resold or used for human or animal consumption, please tell us through our contact page. We take these reports seriously and act on them, including by cancelling orders and closing accounts.

We may update this disclaimer at any time by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply from the date they are posted.
