Start with the product page. Every compound lists its identity data (sequence, molecular formula, molecular weight, CAS number and PubChem record) checked against PubChem, UniProt and the primary literature, with the sources cited on the Research tab. Every vial is labelled with its catalogue number and lot number, and the same lot number appears on your packing slip and order record, so the material in your hand can always be traced to its batch. Where an independent laboratory report has been issued for a lot, it is published on that lot's page.

Yes, and we encourage it. Send us the product and we will tell you which lot is currently shipping and exactly what documentation exists for it, before you spend anything. If a document you need for your records is not available for a lot, we would rather tell you up front than have you find out after delivery.

Identity data is checked against public reference databases: PubChem for small molecules and synthetic peptides, UniProt for sequences derived from natural proteins, and the FDA's substance registry (GSRS) where relevant. Descriptions summarise peer-reviewed literature at the molecular and cellular level, and the papers themselves are listed on each product's Research tab with links to PubMed. Where the data is uncertain, for example a compound with no single defined structure, we leave the field blank rather than guess.

The catalogue (CAT) number identifies the product and vial size; it is the same SKU you see in your cart. The lot number identifies the production batch your vial came from. Quote the lot number in any question about your order: it is how we trace a vial back to its batch record.

On a peptide certificate, purity is normally the main-peak area percentage from HPLC: the share of the detected peptide signal that is the stated compound rather than related synthesis by-products such as deletion or truncated sequences. It is not the same as net peptide content, which also accounts for counter-ions and residual moisture. Both are normal parts of a lyophilized peptide, which is why a good report states the method alongside the number.

Look for five things. A named laboratory you can contact independently. A lot number that matches the vial you received. A test date that makes sense for the lot. Both HPLC (purity) and mass spectrometry (identity), ideally with the chromatogram and spectrum attached. And a way to verify the document with the lab itself, such as a report key or verification link. A certificate missing these is a claim rather than evidence, whoever issued it.

Peptides are made by solid-phase synthesis, purified, freeze-dried (lyophilized) and sealed in borosilicate glass vials under an aluminium crimp seal with a flip-off cap. Each vial is labelled with the compound, quantity, form, catalogue number, lot number and storage conditions. Research solutions ship in sealed containers labelled the same way.

A blend is a pre-combined mixture of named compounds in a stated ratio, supplied in one vial for studies that use the components together. Each blend's page lists its components and their identities, and each component's own product page carries its full data and references.

That is normal. Research quantities are measured in milligrams, and a few milligrams of freeze-dried powder occupy only a few tens of microlitres, less than a single drop of water. In the vial it can look like a thin film, a small pellet or a light dusting at the base.

Not necessarily. Freeze-dried material can sit as an intact cake, a cake that has shrunk away from the glass, a thin film, loose flakes, or material that has shifted to one side in transit; these differences come from the drying cycle and handling, not from the compound itself. A clear change in colour, a wet or sticky appearance, or visible liquid is different. If you see that, keep the vial sealed, note the lot number and contact us with a photo.

Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature for normal transit times, which is why they are shipped without cold packs. Heat and moisture still speed up degradation over longer periods, so move vials to cold, dry storage as soon as they arrive. If a parcel was badly delayed in extreme heat, contact us with your order number and we will review it.

Storage conditions are printed on every label and listed on each product page. As a general rule, keep freeze-dried material at −20 °C, sealed, dry and protected from light, and avoid repeated warming and cooling. Let a vial reach room temperature before opening it, so moisture does not condense inside. Research solutions are stored refrigerated at 2–8 °C and should not be frozen.

It depends on the compound, and some sequences (for example those with methionine, cysteine or tryptophan) are more sensitive to oxidation than others. Compound-specific notes are given on the product page where they are known. Stored sealed, cold, dry and dark, lyophilized peptides are generally far more stable than any solution prepared from them.

Open the parcel promptly, check that every vial is intact and sealed, and confirm the lot numbers match your packing slip. Then move the material to its stated storage conditions. If anything is damaged, missing or incorrect, photograph it and contact us within 7 days with your order number.

No. Single-vial orders are welcome, and many laboratories start with one before moving into bulk quantities.

If it has not shipped yet, contact us with your order number and we will amend or cancel it and refund the original payment method. Once a tracking number exists the parcel is with the carrier and can no longer be intercepted, but our shipment protection still covers anything that goes wrong in transit.

Yes. Your order page lists every item with its catalogue number, quantity and price, and can be printed or saved for your records. If your institution needs a specific document format, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what we can provide.

Yes. Tell us the compounds, quantities and cadence you need through our bulk enquiry page, and we will quote the programme rather than a single order, including what payment arrangements we can offer your institution.

Orders confirmed before 2pm ET on a business day are dispatched the same day, with tracking emailed as soon as the label is created. Bank-transfer orders join that queue once payment clears.

Standard tracked shipping is a flat $15.00, and orders over $300.00 ship free. The threshold is applied automatically in your cart, so you always see the final total before you pay.

Within the United States only, excluding AL and MS, where state rules governing this category make it inappropriate for us to ship. Restricted destinations are blocked at checkout rather than discovered after payment. We do not ship internationally, because customs treatment of research chemicals varies too widely to protect your order.
