CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin is a pre-combined lyophilized mixture of two synthetic peptides in a 1:1 ratio by mass. CJC-1295 (no DAC), also called modified GRF(1–29), is a 29-residue analog of the N-terminal fragment of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) carrying four amino-acid substitutions; ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide derived from the GHRP series.

CJC-1295 (no DAC) is reported to act as an agonist at the GHRH receptor, a class B G-protein-coupled receptor on anterior pituitary somatotroph cells that signals through Gs and cyclic AMP. Ipamorelin is described as a selective agonist of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1a (GHS-R1a), the ghrelin receptor, a class A GPCR coupled primarily to Gq/11 signaling.
