GHK-Cu Spray contains GHK-Cu, the copper(II) complex of glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, a tripeptide first isolated from human plasma. The peptide coordinates Cu(II) through the glycine amino group, a deprotonated amide nitrogen and the histidine imidazole.

GHK binds Cu(II) with high affinity and has been studied as a carrier facilitating copper uptake into cultured cells. Structural and solution studies of the Cu(II)–GHK complex describe its coordination geometry and redox properties, and cell-culture work has examined its effects on growth and gene expression in fibroblast systems.

GHK-Cu Spray is supplied as a pre-dissolved aqueous solution of GHK-Cu in a 15 mL metered dispensing container, a format intended to simplify aliquoting and laboratory handling without a separate dissolution step. Keep the container sealed and refrigerated, protected from light, and avoid freezing; identity and purity of the dissolved material should be confirmed analytically before use.
